In 2010, my Dad’s stroke left him physically incapacitated, but still very coherent mentally. Although he was still alive, a big part of who he was died, and suddenly his eventual death felt much closer. I did my best to support him in coming to terms with that. This interview with me and my Dad, which aired twice on the CBC Radio show Tapestry, explores his feelings about life and death from his new perspective, confined to a bed in a longterm care centre.
